My FitBit trackers can track my steps, calories burned and even my heart rate, but I’ve had to turn to my FitBit app to track my calories burned to lose a few pounds.
And if you’re a fan of tracking your fitness and you’ve ever wondered what your app could possibly tell you about your health, it’s worth keeping in mind that the FitBit apps are actually quite simple to use.
The first thing you need to do is log into your FitBit account and download a new app.
This will bring you to a new screen that looks something like this: On the left hand side of the screen, you’ll see your current app and it will ask you for a name and password.
Tap on the name and you’ll be asked to enter a password.
You’ll be prompted for your Fitbit device’s name and then you’ll need to type in your email address.
Then, just tap on the icon in the top right corner of the device’s home screen, select “Get Started” and it’ll show you a few options.
If you click on “Track Activity”, you’ll get a list of all the activity you’ve done with the Fitbit app.
If you’ve just set up a new fitness tracker and you’re interested in tracking your daily steps and calories burned, the first thing to do will be to download your app.
To do so, tap on “Get Info” in the bottom right corner and then select “Add App”.
Once you’ve downloaded your app, head into your account and tap on it to add it.
You should now be presented with a new list of your Fitbits apps.
The first option you’ll want to select is the “FitBit Health app” (shown in the image above).
When you’ve clicked on the Fitbits app icon, it will take you to the home screen.
Tap the heart icon in that top right section and then tap on a blue heart icon to see your heart rate and the current time.
Tap a yellow heart icon and you should see your steps and the calories burned.
You can then tap “Add to Health” to add your activity.
Here you can see the steps, calorie burn and how much your heartrate is currently increasing.
You may also want to tap on an exercise icon to keep track of your daily exercise goals.
Lastly, you can add a weight to your profile so that it shows up on your home screen if you haven’t done so already.
After you’ve added an activity, it should now show up on the top left of the app’s home page.
Tap “Get More Information”.
This screen will ask for your fitness tracker’s name, which you can change here.
Once you’ve entered your name, tap the blue heart on the bottom of the Fitbot’s home bar to see all of the stats that Fitbit has collected from your FitBot.
Once that’s finished, you should be presented a “Results” page.
The page will display your daily data and will give you an overall average for your activity, steps, weight, and calories.
You also have the option to enter in your exercise data here.
Next, you have the ability to save your data.
Tap at the top of the page to create a new profile.
If it looks like a blank spot, that means you’ve already entered your data, but it’s still possible to add new data.
Next up, you need the option of downloading your Fitbuds activity data to your Fitbot.
To find this option, you’re going to need to go to the “My Activity” section on your FitBuds page and select “Set Up”.
The next page you’ll look at will give us a “Summary”.
If you’ve enabled automatic alerts for your tracker, you will be presented here.
You need to click on the “Add Alert” button on the right hand side.
On this page, you must tick the box next to the tracker’s data that you want to save.
If there is no tick beside the tracker data, then you’ve saved your data but you will have to download it again from the FitBud’s home app.
If this happens, it means you’re not syncing the tracker with FitBits home app, so you’ll have to do this manually from the app.
Finally, you’ve now entered your tracker data and can download it.
Once you have your data downloaded, tap “Download” and you will get a confirmation screen.
If the app is currently downloading data for your device, you may need to tap the green “Add Data” button to download the data and the FitBot will then begin downloading the data for you.
If you’re having issues downloading your data on the first try, you are encouraged to re-enable the FitBeam app
