Toyota’s newest sports car, the Fortalez X Sport, is set to get a US debut in the first US test of its full-size sports car lineup.
The Toyota team’s Fortalesx X Sport will compete in the new Mazda MX-5 Miata test.
The Fortalex X sports car will compete against the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 4R sports car at the International Auto Show in Detroit.
The test will begin on January 15th at the Michigan International Speedway and will run through January 21st at the Texas Motor Speedway.
The new Toyota car will also compete against other cars at the Detroit Auto Show on January 22nd.
The Mazda MX5 Miat, a 2017 Mazda MX7, and the Mitsumoto Kuga K4, an upcoming Mazda MX6, will all be tested at the Mazda Road to Indy on January 23rd.
The performance car lineup for the Fortales X Sport and other vehicles is expected to debut in 2017.
The vehicle will be powered by the latest version of the Toyota’s 5.2-liter, 531-hp, six-cylinder V6 turbocharged engine that powers the current Fortalexs MX-6 sports car.
The current FortalesX Sport and Fortalexa X Sport are powered by a 4.2 liter, 455-hp V6 that powers Toyota’s Toyota Yaris, Lexus RX, and Camry.
Both cars will be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission, which is compatible with the Mazda MX3 and MX5.
The Mazda MX4 will be equipped with the same 5-spd manual transmission.
The upcoming Fortalesport and Fortalesportsport will feature the same powertrain, as will the Fortaledesport and its Fortalexesport and an upcoming Fortaleysport.
Both vehicles will be available in all-wheel drive.
The Ford Focus RS, the Chevrolet Colorado, the Volkswagen Golf GTI, and Toyota Prius Plug-in hybrid will also make their debut at the upcoming US show.
The next FortalesSport will debut at this year’s US show in September.
Toyota is expected use the upcoming ForteX Sport, Fortalezx Sport, and Fortalxsport as the base of its lineup of sports cars.
The vehicles will have the ability to carry four passengers, with the ForteZ Sport 2 and Fortesportsport 2 having the capability to carry six passengers.
The launch of the Fortesport vehicles comes at a time when Toyota is working to make its Fortales Sport platform more powerful and to provide a more affordable vehicle for everyday driving.
The company has made improvements to the Fortlexesports, Fortezx, and other products.
