The Mercedes-AMG team has been on the podium for five races this season, with a best-score of 0.6, with the top-scoring Mercedes in Australia being 9.3 points.
But Mercedes-Benz has won only one race this season so far.
The team’s first podium in Australia came in September 2016, when the team finished second to Ferrari.
The next two years, they’ve finished on the top step of the podium three times.
In 2017, the team was in a group with a pair of rivals – McLaren and Ferrari – and finished third.
The only other time Mercedes-AMS finished in the top 10 was in 2008, when they finished fifth.
The first Mercedes-amg team to win a race was the McLaren team in the 1980s, winning the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.
The last time Mercedes’ best finish was top 10 in the world was in 1994, when it finished third in the German Grand Prix.
In a year where the team has a lot of talent, the best result for Mercedes in a race is usually the most important.
So Mercedes-Amg has an opportunity to score points this weekend, especially with a good car and driver line-up.
The best result by a Mercedes team this year has been third in Australia in 2018, but they have yet to score a win.
