The world’s largest container shipping company says it will keep expanding its cargo sport business in 2018, even as it has been forced to take a significant hit from hurricanes.
The Canadian firm says it expects to bring its business to $2 billion by the end of the year.
The deal is valued at $2,827 million, with the Canadian dollar falling to nearly 80 cents US.
It is a win-win for both sides, said Mark Schreiber, chief executive of the company, which operates over a dozen shipping and cargo routes in Canada, the U.S., and Europe.
